Saorise Ronan is in negotiations to star in How I Live Now, an adaptation of the Meg Rosoff young adult book. The film will be directed by Kevin Macdonald and will be produced by Film4, Cowboy Films and Passion Pictures.
The book is set in the near future and tells the story of a self-centered Manhattan girl named Daisy, who is sent to live with her aunt and cousins on a remote farm in England. When the aunt gets stuck in Norway and England is invaded by an unnamed force, Daisy and her cousins are left to live in an almost Utopian setting, unencumbered by adults.
