The upcoming fifth season of the telly show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ won’t have Akshay Kumar as its host. Rather, Ajay Devgn, Bollywood’s action star reinvented, will step into the host’s shoes.
Buzz is that Akshay Kumar won’t be able to spare dates for the show because his wife Twinkle Khanna is expecting their second child and Akshay wants to dedicate himself to taking care of his wifey and the new entrant.
So Akshay Kumar being out of the picture, the show’s makers considered roping in John Abraham or Ajay Devgn as replacement.
John Abraham proved his prowess at action and stunts in the last year’s hit film Force. But it appears that John is too busy with Bollywood commitments to spare dates for boob tube. The hunk is working on three flicks: Shootout At Wadala, Race 2, and Shoojit Sircar's next, apart from Farah Khan's Happy New Year.
Ajay Devgan, on the other hand, has the home production Son of Sardaarlined up for release later this year. He is able to accommodate dates for ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ in his work schedule and therefore remains the channel’s first choice for the reality show in which the contestants take on challenges to display their pluck.
