Katy Perry and John Mayer: It's Over (Phew)!

Katy Perry and John Mayer have broken up.

They say the media made it more serious than it ever was, but in any case it is now over. The two singers are no longer dating, a source confirmed.

"They will end up as friends," the insider says. "They were honestly just hanging out and having fun. People made it out to be far more than it was."

Katy Perry and John Mayer recently had dinner at the Chateau Marmont, an animal-filled birthday bash at a Hollywood agent's home, and "sleepovers." Supposedly.

It seemed like a good match, according to an observer: "They acted like they've been a couple for a long time ... It definitely didn't seem like a new relationship."

Perry is recently divorced from Russell Brand, and dated Florence + the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd earlier this year before parting ways as friends.

Mayer's exes include Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston, Minka Kelly and now Katy Perry. We must be missing something here.

Karen Klein Launches Anti-Bullying Foundation

Karen Klein has used the $700,000 donated compassionate viewers of her now-infamous viral video to launch an anti-bullying foundation.

The depressing video of middle school boys tormenting Klein on the bus was posted on June 19 and received more than eight million total views.

The 68-year-old now-retired school bus monitor from Greece, N.Y., received donations from at least 32,000 people online in less than two months.

Looking for something positive to do for the world with a portion of the $700,000 in donations, she has created the Karen Klein Anti-Bullying Foundation.

“I thought it would be a great idea, and I’m hoping this foundation will seriously help all these kids,’’ Klein told Today. “It’s also not just kids."

"When you’re a kid being bullied, you should talk to an adult. When the adult is being bullied, I don’t know who the heck they can talk to."

"That’s why I want to help.’’

Klein never planned on becoming a symbol of anti-bullying, but has grown to embrace the role after her story received international attention.

Lance Armstrong to Be Stripped of Tour de France Victories

Lance Armstrong will be banned from cycling and stripped of his seven Tour de France titles by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, the organization said in a stunning announcement last night.

The punishment stems from drug charges brought against the world famous cyclist that he is declining to fight.

"There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, 'Enough is enough.' For me, that time is now," Armstrong said in a statement sent to The Associated Press, referring to the USADA's investigation an "unconstitutional witch hunt."

After refusing to follow though with an arbitration process that could officially clear his name, Armstrong added:

"I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in winning my seven Tours since 1999. The toll this has taken on my family and my work for our foundation and on me leads me to where I am today -- finished with this nonsense."

Katrina Darling on Prince Harry Nude Vegas Pictures: Cause For Celebration!

Prince Harry will never pose in Playgirl, but his nude Vegas adventures are still a cause for celebration, at least according to Kate Middleton's cousin.

September's Playboy cover model Katrina Darling is speaking out in support of Harry and the pics that leaked following his apparent billiards game.

"I was shocked that the public were surprised that there is a young man having fun, partying and being comfortable with his body," she said Thursday.

"I don't think anyone should be sending a message that it is wrong or sordid to be nude. It's not," says Katrina Darling, a burlesque dancer by trade.

"Shaming someone for being nude is not a positive attitude to teach people, the human form is a beautiful and amazing thing to be celebrated."

Says Kate's cousin of the Prince Harry naked scandal: "He didn't choose to be a role model, he's human and living a life most can only dream of."

But the royal family may not agree with Darling.

'Student of the Year' a huge responsibility: Karan Johar

Director Karan Johar, who is ready to launch four new actors in his upcoming directorial "Student of the Year", says it is a huge responsibility on him.

The film is the 40-year-old's first directorial venture without actor-friend Shah Rukh Khan in the lead and will mark the debut of Mahesh Bhatt's daughter Alia Bhatt, director David Dhawan's son Varun, Siddharth Malhotra and actor Boman Irani's son Kayoze.

"The film is a big responsibility for Dharma productions. We are launching the career of four youngsters - Aliya, Varun, Siddharth and Kayoze. All of them are very promising and talented. So, we as a production house have to make sure that everything goes well," said Karan, who was in the capital for designer-friend Manish Malhotra's show at the PCJ Delhi Couture Week.

The trailor of "SOTY" was launched on August 2 and has a feel similar to Aditya Chopra's 2000 college romance film "Mohabbatein", which launched six new faces.

"We have planned an elaborate promotion affair for the film. We will start releasing the songs from August 24. It will be followed by the official music launch," Karan added.

"SOTY" has been co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment. The film also stars Rishi Kapoor, Ronit Roy, Kitu Gidwani, Ram Kapoor and is set to hit theatres on October 19.

Pak actress Saeeda Imtiaz wishes to work in B-Town

Pakistani actress Saeeda Imtiaz has her eye on B-Town. Even as she's hoping to land a Hindi film role, she's excited about her Pakistani film which, considering the role she's essaying, will establish her firmly in the industry.

Saeeda, a Pakistani-American, was offered the role of writer Jemima Khan in Kaptaan, a film based on the life of Imran Khan, Pakistani politician and the former captain of Pakistan's cricket team. Jemima is Imran's former wife and the film even shows their separation. It's a script that gripped Saeeda and she's hoping to meet the two.

"I have been a fan of Imran Khan from my childhood. I knew the script was strong and was confident I could pull it off," she says. "I will be meeting Imran Khan soon, as well as Jemima when I go to England."

Playing Jemima was a challenge, more so because Saeeda didn't get to meet her before or during the shoot. It was a complete makeover for her as she slipped into the character. "I was asked to put on a lot of weight due to which I fell ill for about six months. I had to see a lot of videos and read up on the Imran and Jemima. The most difficult part was to get the British accent as I am half American. It was really challenging to change the way I speak," says she.

The movie was supposed to be released in February, but has been postponed to the year-end. "The last talk I had with the director, he said he wants the film to release a few months before the election in Pakistan as Imran is now in politics," she says.

When asked about her interest in Bollywood and her visit to India, she says, "For an artist, it is very important to keep working all the time. And, I thought it would be a great change to work in India." We've had a lot of talent coming in from across the border — Atif Aslam, Ali Zafar, Veena Malik, Meera... "There are very few directors in Pakistan who make films. Even if they make films, there are only one or two a year. So, the actors who are passionate about their work will go out of their way to get more work for themselves. There is not much work in Pakistan which is why even I have come here," she says.

She is returning to Pakistan this week. "There are a few restrictions out there when it comes to dressing unlike in Mumbai or New York. It's a different world. But, it's fun to live so many shades in one life," says Saeeda who will be back in India in September.

Elton John has fired yet another salvo in his strange, ongoing feud with Madonna, slamming the recent antics of the "f--king fairground stripper."

Whoa.

During an interview with Australian TV show, John bristled at the mere mention of the singer, saying, "She's such a nightmare. Her career's over."

He didn't stop there, ranting that "she looks like a f--king fairground stripper" and ripping her recent gun-pulling stunt and dance-pop catalog.

"If Madonna had any common sense she would have made another record like Ray of Light," he added, "and stayed away from the dance stuff."

The 65-year-old John said that the Queen of Pop should "just be a great pop singer and make great pop records, which she does brilliantly."

John's beef, or at least the latest iteration of it, may stem from her quasi-feud with Lady Gaga, godmother to Elton's 19-month-old son, Zachary.

"[Madonna's] been so horrible to Gaga," John told Sunday Night.

In May, Madonna performed a curious mash-up of "Born This Way" and "Express Yourself" that many saw as a Lady Gaga diss, not a tribute.

John's feud with Madge goes back to 2004, when he accused her of lip-syncing, a point he reiterated earlier this year before the Super Bowl.

Elton's husband, David Furnish, has also gone off on Madonna.

Picture Kim Kardashian nude. Okay, granted, that isn't much of a challenge.

But now picture her in white paint, hands over breasts, eyes closed and hair curled. You end up with the cover art of Kanye West's new album, don't you?

The rapper unveiled the cover for "Cruel Summer" last night on Twitter, a CD that comes out on September 4 and which features the two singles West recently debuted  "Mercy" and "New God Flow."

Kim Kardashian is a bitch. Hey, we didn't say it!

That's how Kanye West has described his large-breasted fake girlfriend, Tweeting confirmation that the track "Perfect Bitch" - which he debuted during a performance in New York City last week - is, indeed, dedicated to this reality star.

Simply put, "I wrote the song Perfect Bitch about Kim," West wrote on his social networking account.

No word yet on when the song will be officially released, but a Kanye insider tells The Daily News its lyrics are "about his search for the perfect woman and how he has now found the 'perfect bitch.'"

n Delhi to walk for designer Anju Modi at the PCJ Delhi Couture Week, Madhuri Dixit-Nenetalks to us about how even as Indian cinema is changing for the better, it'll never change much because we love our song-and-dance sequences.

On dance
Dance is an integral part of Bollywood. Actually, I like to call it Indian cinema. Just because there's Hollywood, we call it Bollywood. And anyway, dance does have its own USP in our films. Everything can change but Indian movies will not change much because we're so used to the dance and songs and everything. Even Americans are getting very attracted to all this. They're also getting interested in how Indian movies are made, what goes into making them, what's the content, etc. There were a few neighbours in the US who would watch one Hindi movie and then want to see more because they liked the dance-and-song sequences so much. I also taught someone how to dance, but it was waltz, not any Indian dance form. His daughter was getting married and he wanted to dance with her at the wedding. I am not trained in waltz, but it's just what, 1-2-3, 1-2-3.

On adapting to Bollywood now
You have to adapt everywhere you go. When I went to the US, I had to adapt there, when I came back to India, I had to adapt here. A lot of things in the industry are changing and you have to change accordingly. But everything is changing for the better, I think Indian cinema is going through a brilliant phase, they are trying different subjects and audience is getting mature enough to accept different subjects on the screen. Multiplexes have helped in that it's all very corporate now, so everything is very organized.

And that is one culture corporate brought with it, where everything is very disciplined and the scripts are ready. Earlier, it was very haphazard. We used to be on the set sometimes and we didn't know what we were going to say. The dialogue writer used to be writing at that time. Everything worked in a different way, now it's more disciplined because of the corporatisation (ugh, I can never say that word!).

On all the speculation since she's come back
It's great being back but I don't know if I want to be in the middle of speculation. That's not a very pleasant thing. And I chose to give my side of the story on Twitter because I thought it was a good medium. It goes directly to your fans, and they can read what your thoughts are. I am on Facebook also, but that account is managed by my team, but Twitter is something I do myself. But then, like I said, it feels amazing to be back. And good comes with the bad, and you just have to accept that. So I ignore the bad.

After Devdas, I can wear everything. It used to take 3 dress men to carry my clothes, so this was no problem. Plus the collection was so eclectic, and the inspiration was so beautiful. Anju (Modi) took all the powerful women in Bengali literature and made these saris and ghaghra-cholis. I have also done some very strong female characters, like Chandramukhi, like in Mrityudand, even Gulab Gang, which I am doing now. I could identify with what she was trying to do and I believe in the power of women. And I think I also have that steely inner strength and that calm. I think that helps me through.

For whatever (hilarious) reason, the Kim Kardashian sex tape is back in the news.

A new Star Magazine report swears Kris Jenner played an integral role in the release of her daughter's naked video with Ray J in 2007, as an insider tells the tabloid:

"Kris was totally involved in arranging the sale of Kim's tape... The video already existed, and Kris was there every step of the way as a middleman brought in to market it to an adult entertainment company."

However, this insider is adamant:

Overall, when it comes to Jenner, the mole holds nothing back:

"Everything she does in this world, every decision she makes on her daughters' behalf, is based on greed and publicity. And has nothing to do with her family's stability or happiness."

Rihanna on Chris Brown Split: I Lost My Best Friend

Oprah Winfrey may be slipping these days and growing a tad desperate for ratings, but the media mogul is still not afraid to ask tough questions.

Rihanna may often cast herself as edgy and hard, but when relaxed and on her home turf (Barbados), she's not afraid to answer them, candidly.

When asked about the end of her relationship with Chris Brown for Oprah's Next Chapter, Rihanna teared up. "It was embarrassing," she said.

"It was humiliating. I lost my best friend."

"I was resentful. I held a grudge," Rihanna admitted. "I was dark."

Rihanna and Chris Brown have since reconciled, both personally and professionally; the two stars even collaborated on two remixes in early 2012.

Winfrey admitted she was surprised by Rihanna's non-badass nature. "She was thoughtful. She was very emotional. She was vulnerable," she said.

At the same time, "she pushes the edge a lot," as we've seen in her decision to record with Chris again despite his brutal attack on her in 2009.

Rumors persist that the former lovers will get back together again romantically. While that's just speculation, she doesn't shy away from feeding it.

Bethenny Frankel: Grateful for TomKat, Robsten Splits

Bethenny Frankel is taking pleasure in the pains of others.

Unable to stop talking about her supposed marriage difficulties with Jason Hoppy, the talk show host tells In Touch that she's grateful that the public breakups of other couples has diverted media attention.

"It’s about Tom and Katie and Rob and Kristen," the former Real Housewife tells the tabloid. "So they’re off of me right now!"

This may be the first time in history that Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy have been compared to Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

“It can be rough. It’s like anything else, you can have good days and bad days,” Bethenny added of her relationship. “Some days it can be brutal and you don’t want to talk about it or hear about it, and other days it’s light and bright. It’s the nature of the game.”

Chad Johnson Arrested For Domestic Violence, Accused of HEAD-BUTTING Evelyn Lozada

Chad Johnson (formerly Chad Ochocinco) was arrested last night for domestic violence. The alleged victim was his wife, Basketball Wives' Evelyn Lozada.

The NFL star is accused of head-butting Lozada during an argument.

Police arrived at the scene to find her with lacerations on her forehead; Lozada went to the hospital for treatment. Crazy. So what started the incident?

According to TMZ, the fight started over condoms in Chad's car. Seriously.

Evelyn Lozada apparently found a receipt for them (not sure which brand or what size) in the couple's Maserati and confronted him about it.

An argument broke out and Chad head-butted Evelyn. The football star reportedly told the cops he butted heads with his wife by accident.

Johnson was in custody in Davie, Fla., as of 8:45 p.m. last night and will have to go before a judge before he can be released on bond.

It's possible he could be there until tomorrow morning. Stay tuned.

Lozada married Chad Ochocinco - who changed his named back to Johnson so his wife wouldn't have to take the name Ochocinco - on July 4.

For what it's worth, the couple briefly called off their wedding earlier this year, allegedly amid rumors of his cheating, before reconciling.

t surely was one of the toughest roles in his career, but Abhishek Bachchan managed to pull it off well. No wonder Bol Bachchan has put the actor in a different league now. And with the film doing `100cr business, AB Jr has entered the coveted club... 

So you've joined the `100 crore club...
I'm a bit lost for words. This whole `100cr thing used to be the Silver Jubilee earlier. It's like a milestone. I'm just so happy and thankful that the audience have loved the film. Making it to the `100cr mark is testimony to the fact that people have enjoyed the film. The entire credit goes to Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn. I want to thank them first, for giving me Bol Bachchan, and then for supporting me through the film.

Where do you see yourself in this rat race?
I don't think any actor believes in this whole rat race business. It's a race when everyone's competing at one level, like say a 100-metre race where it's the same for everyone. But here, we are doing our individual films. If I was a part of Bol Bachchan, another actor is a part of some other film. How do you compare? It wouldn't be fair. I can't have that mindset; I have to be bothered about what I am doing or else I won't be concentrating fully on it. For me, it's always about how I can get better with every film.

You've had a series of hit films, then a low and now a big high again. How would you describe the journey? 
It's been a great one.

What about Friday jitters when you have a film release? 
It's very difficult. After a year of hardwork, blood and sweat by a team close to 500 people, that worked tirelessly, Friday is judgement day. There's excitement and nerves... it's fun.

You've got Dhoom 3 and Dostana 2, two very different kind of films...
Currently I'm shooting for Dhoom 3 and that's the only film I'm totally concentrating on.

We hear of filmmakers planning projects for you.
Yes, it's very nice to see renewed confidence in my work. It's a great feeling and I am looking forward to doing some good films.

Action and comedy have both become your forte. Personally, what do you like better? 
It's tough to choose between the two. I enjoy all of it. I like the variety that our films offer.

Any of your movies that's your favourite? 
Each and every one of them. If it wasn't my favourite at that point, I wouldn't have done it.

Films apart, you are a sports lover too. We hear that you caught Bolt's 100m win at the London Olympics?
I was very close to the track and had the best view... it was an unbelievable experience! The highlight in London for me was to see the Indian flag high up in the Olympics stadium amidst the flags of other countries.

You're going to be abroad for three months now. So, you'll be missing family and little Aaradhya...

Well, 'pushing the envelope' isn't just about skin-show, it's a state of mind. For me it's about leading my life with no fear. I don't have a functional family background, I don't have a man in my life at the moment and I'm glad I'm leading a life where I'm not answerable to anyone. Kudos to her if she claims to have opened any envelope.

She's raised the sex and sensuality standard in B-Town?
Just because Sunny's a pornstar doesn't mean she's set a new benchmark for adulterated erotica. She's not the ultimate provocation!

You've opened the envelope, and jumped right out of it. How comfortable were you, posing naked for an iconic adult magazine?
I was uncomfortable with my comfort level with nudity! On day one, after stripping I felt no shame and thought 'Damn you, Sherlyn, you're not fit to be Indian! I was hopping all over The Mansion without inhibitions. I wanted to do that every day of my life. It changed me as a person.

Another lady who's going 'your' way is Poonam Pandey, though so far she's made only tall claims. 
I'd like her to make noise at the right time and knock on the right door, when she really should.

You were lobbying for the role Ms Leone bagged for her debut?
I approached the Bhatts for the role; they told me I was very appealing, but obviously thought Sunny was a better choice. In retrospect, I'm grateful to them, the rejection compelled to make a conscious effort to explore my limitless mind. I wanted to prove to the world that there exists a 'Sex Symbol' in India, and if being the first Indian to be the (nude) cover girl of this adult magazine is what it takes — so be it!

There's been a lot of outrage on social networking websites, more so from women than men?
There are people who didn't like the pictures??? If 34C-24-36 ain't good enough, then what is? If they want 36 DD hold on, I'll get there too! I'm utterly disappointed in Indian men and women; they keep forgetting that we belong to the land of Kamasutra. On the other hand, there are people who've told me that I've challenged the double-standards of our country and I've killed the male ego. I think men should let go of their desire to control a woman's sexuality.

Who is your biggest competitor in the industry?
Hmnnn! Vidya Balan! She's a risk taker, and has the guts to display fat and ugliness on screen so beautifully.

Any actor you'd love to do a love-making scene with? 
Vidya Balan, again! I'd love to do a passionate scene with Vidya, I'm obsessed with her. If she's listening I want to tell her — Vidya, I can take better care of you than Siddharth (Roy Kapur)!

So you're going to leave the men starving, huh? 
I'm not as attracted to men as I am to women. Most men are just one dimensional, women are multi-dimensional; and you can do a lot more with women. Ha, ha, ha! (like eat, shop, talk)!
