Heard, 26, has hared a steamy scene with Johnny in The Rum Diary and has been a regular visitor to the set of the Depp's new movie The Lone Ranger in New Mexico, reported Sun online.
"He lights up a room. He looks even better close up. Johnny is a wonderful, special person," she said. The bisexual actress, who calls herself a complicated blonde, said she was hand picked by Depp in 2009 as his Rum Diary love interest.
"I auditioned four times and was told that Johnny would make the final choice. We've stayed friends, because that's the kind of man he is," she said.
