Reese Witherspoon, whose pregnancy has been impossible to miss to anyone with eyes, has waited until now to confirm the worst-kept-secret in Hollywood that she's having another baby.
The 36-year-old actress revealed this weekend that she's planning to take some well-deserved time off after giving birth to her third child later this year.
The star, who is expecting her first child with husband Jim Toth this fall, already has a daughter, 12-year-old Ava, and a son, eight-year-old Deacon, with her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.
Appearing at the Gene Siskel Film Centre of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago on Saturday, for the first time Reese acknowledged her pregnancy as she spoke about her growing appetite.
"I'm always feeling like I'd like to eat everything in sight!" the Daily Mail quoted her as telling the Chicago Sun-Times.
Continuing, she revealed that she planned to take a brief leave from acting after she wraps her work on 'Devil's Knot', co-starring Colin Firth.
"I'm going to take a little time off - and go have a baby," she said.
The 'Just Like Heaven' star was at the event to accept the Renaissance Award, which profiled her career.
She looked radiant in a navy-coloured dress, black shoes and a fresh, virtually make-up free look - beaming even further as she collected the Gene Siskel Film Center Renaissance Award.
Her fellow Academy Award winner Alexander Payne, who directed her in 1999 cult favourite 'Election', presented his old friend with the prestigious gong, previously won by the likes of Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr.
