The holiday month of June promised much but failed to deliver, as far as box-office was concerned. The blockbuster success of ROWDY RATHORE in just the first week, in fact on the 1st of June, brought cheers to the whole of the industry and was also seen as a lucky beginning, but what followed was rather disappointing, to say the least.
Just a week later came the biggest disappointment of all, SHANGHAI, starring the likes of Emraan Hashmi and Abhay Deol and directed by Dibakar Banerjee, the film failed to appeal in big way, despite receiving huge critical acclaim and is likely to end at best as an above average status.
