Making good on a promise he made not even 48 hours ago, Charlie Sheen has officially quit Twitter, leaving his 7.7 million followers emotionally reeling.
Fortunately, he departed with one final, inspiring Tweet:
"reach for the stars everyone. dogspeed cadre. c out."
Sheen signed onto Twitter fairly recently in March 2011, after he was fired from Two and a Half Men and began lambasting his former bosses online.
He has been a regular tweeter ever since, offering sage-like pearls of wisdom to the general public and plugging his new show Anger Management.
It's unclear why he decided to close up Twitter shop now, but the 47-year-old actor reportedly felt like he's "not getting anything out of it" anymore.
Sheen told TMZ today, “Thank you all for your amazing support. Trust me when I say please ‘follow’ me to my next endeavor. It’s gonna be epic.”
As long as it's not judging American Idol, we have no doubt.
