Prince William is a lifesaver!
The 29-year-old royal -- who is a search and rescue helicopter co-pilot at RAF Valley -- helped locate two Russian seamen whose limestone carrier ship sank off the coast of North Wales early Sunday morning.
According to the BBC, William was part of a four-man rescue helicopter crew that responded to a mayday call made around 2 a.m. when the ship's hull cracked in bad weather.
The two men were airlifted airlifted to safety at William's base RAF Valley on the Welsh island of Anglesey. Sadly, five crew members are still missing and one crew member's body has been recovered.
"We know that at least some of [the missing] are wearing immersion suits and have strobe lighting with them," coastguard spokesman Jim Green said Sunday. "However, sea conditions are challenging at best."
