The buzz surrounding starlet Poonam Pandey’s debut movie just got hotter with the latest development. The movie, which is set to go on the floors this September, has a new presenter. And that is none other than industry biggie Kumar Mangat. Eagle Home Entertainment, which is producing the movie, and director Amit Saxena are already part of the project. Industry veteran Kumar Mangat, who has till now produced and co
produced 14 feature films, has joined the fray as the Presenter of this untitled film. Eagle Home Entertainment has distributed a few thousand movies from the Himalayas to the other side of the Vindhyas in multiple languages. “It is a pleasure that someone like Kumar Mangatji who has the experience of making top of the line cinema is associating himself as a co producer in the film which is already making a name for itself despite not being named at the moment,” enthuses the executive producer Aditya Bhatia. Bhatia’s energy levels surely must have received a shot of adrenaline after the entry of the ‘Omkara’ into the project.
Mangat too is pretty happy with the development, as he believes that the film starring India's sensation, Poonam Pandey, is certainly going to set the temperatures soaring. As for Poonam Pandey, she has clearly set the industry ablaze with her tweets and her bold moves. In fact, she has raised the hotness to bar to a whole new level.
“I am now doing a series of workshops to ensure that I perform well on camera as an actress and live up to the expectations of not just of my fans, but also of the filmmakers who have reposed so much faith in me,” says Pandey. Eagle Home Entertainment, which started off as video distributors have been growing under the vigilant eye of the moving spirits behind the organization – Surender and Vinod Suneja.
Even as the company has grown to be the largest home video content provider in this part of the subcontinent, the company is on the verge of announcing many film productions – the first of it being the untitled Poonam Pandey film. Amit Saxena who is the director of the film called it a “Coming of Age” movie.
The film was to go on the floors in the month of August, but a sudden bout of jaundice for the actress ensured that the shooting of the film has now been delayed by a month. The film will go on the floors in September.
