Director Sachin Yardi promises that in KYAA SUPER KOOL HAIN HUM he has subscribed to the same zone as the original KYA KOOL HAIN HUM when it comes to the humour quotient. He also adds that while being contemporary, the sequel has been scaled up to meet the demands of today's times in which adult comedies like DELHI BELLY are in vogue and storming the box office.
''A sex comedy based on the premise of madness is very crucial,'' says Yardi. ''After all, it is not just about two people passing crude remarks. Agar aapko kuch naughty lagta hai kuch dekh kar toh gandagi toh aake dimaag mein hai, is mein main kya karoon (laughs). Yes, we have gone adult but not vulgar.''
One wonders though that for this Riteish Deshmukh-Tusshar Kapoor starrer which belongs to sex-com genre, is there any story being told as well or is the narrative mainly rely upon gags.
''First and foremost, we have a very strong and breezy story line, which is a major plus. Then the screenplay itself has some really whacked out scenes. Now these scenes are not just gags in motion but integrated well into the story so that the narrative moves forward,'' explains Sachin, ''The humour isn't there just for the sake of it. It is going to be naughty and fun.''
How 'naughty' is the final product? Well, come 27th July and audience would know once this Ekta Kapoor production releases worldwide.
